The story of Roman Kolpakov is a story of incredible strength of spirit, joy of life and helping others. Having experienced a terrible accident in his youth, when it usually seemed that everything was ahead, having remained disabled,
he began to think – how can I support people
in a similar situation? What can I do for them?
After the accident, there were 6 years of struggle, pain, despair
and more struggle. The operations did not help, doctors
from different clinics did not even give a chance of survival, the weight reached 40 kg. Huge pressure sores, tissue necrosis, contractures in the joints are an incessant nightmare.

Roman Kolpakov's life is now a daily struggle. The pain and limitations have not gone away. A terrible accident had confined him to a wheelchair, making it impossible for him to move or even feel his body. Despite the surgery performed to resect both hip joints, the disease does not recede. Constant oxygen starvation, impaired cerebral circulation, hypoxia – this is what Roman faces every day. A stroke suffered in 2009 led to thrombosis of the left internal carotid artery.
